Ana Kristina Gasteyer was born in the US. She is a actor, comedian and vocalist. Her most recognizable performance was when she was a part of the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live, from 1996 until 2002. Since then, she's appeared on sitcoms, including ABC's Suburgatory TBS People of Earth NBC American Auto as well as in the movie Mean Girls. Gasteyer started her career in Northwestern University. She initially was studying voice, but switched to acting when she became involved with an improv comedy troupe on campus.
