Alana and Alyssa
Alana De La Garza has made a name for herself through her appearances on TV. De La Garza, a Mexican American father and an Irish American mother, were both born in Columbus Ohio on June 26, 1976. Then she began moving to Texas to pursue a physical therapy career within the University of Texas. De La Garza did not keep her place in Texas for long and soon made the move towards Orlando Florida, where she played a variety of roles as an actor including commercials, local independent films, and even a few of the film's. Her passion for acting quickly grew to perform despite her small role. The year 2001 saw her move to New York where her first role was on All My Children's daytime soap opera as Rosa Santos. In the beginning of 2000, she appeared in small roles on JAG Las Vegas and Two and a Half Men. In 2004 she was cast as her first part of a series on The Mountain which was the short-lived drama on television. She played Maria Serrano and De La Garza was fortunate to star alongside some top TV actors including Barbara Hershey Oliver Hudson Penn Badgley Anson Mount and Mitch Pileggi. In 2006, she played A.D.A. on Law & Order. Connie Rubirosa. She appeared on 85 episodes. Her character on the Law & Order: LA spinoff was only a few episodes. The character she played earned De La Garza several nominations such as Best Supporting Actress - Television through the Imagen Foundation Awards and even a few ALMA Award noms. In addition, the National Hispanic Media Coalition awarded her with the Impact Award, which is given for outstanding performances in an upcoming drama series. De La Garza was then chosen to play a regular part on CSI Miami. She was cast as Marisol Delko, who is the wife of David Caruso's Horatio. She was Doctor. Lena Solis in NBC's Dark drama Do No Harm. It was put on hold after two episodes. Alyssa Milano.............................Alyssa Jayne Milano was born on December 19 1972 in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn New York City to fashion designer and talent manager Lin Milano and film-music editor Thomas M. Milano. Milano is an ethnically-mixed woman of Italian heritage and also has a younger brother Cory who is 10 years older. She was raised in a relatively conservative and religious family. Milano began her professional career in the age of seven when her childsitter brought her along to an audition for acting. Her audition was among over 1,000 applicants. Milano was chosen as one of only four girls. Milano was featured in TV commercials and off-Broadway shows including the very first American musical rendition to Jane Eyre.
